from a teacher parent lover?????? I grew up with abusive parents.. once my mom through me through the glass door and as I layed in pools of blood she said " let her f--ken bleed to death I wish she was never born" 15 stitches and a scar on my wrist.. I still hear her saying that! !......  yuk

My ex-husband tellin me "Ur a loosey Mom and Wife" the a$$hole had it so twisted.

Well, I have too many to tell. It is ironic how easy it is to recall the hurtful things. I do recall some of the wonderful things people have said at times, but if I'm unsure of something, those nasty words are the ones that pop in my head still.

That's terrible..........I'm so sorry you had to experience that!
Thanks.. but they left and moved to Fl. after that and I grew up real fast! It made me strong and who I am today. The day I had my daughter I promised to be a great parent and break the cycle... I did and my daughter and I are best friends!!!

The one that loops through my mind the most is: my old man telling me, "I'm just looking for an excuse to kill you." (and he meant KILL)

When I was starting college, my parents asked me to sit down with them to fill out scholarship/grant applications. I told them not to worry - I would take care of it and I didn't need their help.
I am still paying for my student loans.......

Child abuse is a very, very bad thing. People do not realize the impact it has for generations to come. I manage a shelter for abused children and I have 10 of the worst boys in a 4 county area, the ones noone else wants. And people wonder why they have the problems they do. I am glad that you have such a wonderful outlook on life - you are a survivor and I admire you for being you.

When I was about 10 my granddaddy told me "Sugar Pie, there's only one you so don't blow it". I've remembered that ever since and even when I do blow it, I know he wouldn't be disappointed.

Who would of thought I would grow up and love children and teaching.. Ive worked with alot of abused kids and adults and it is a sad thing to see much less live through... I have alot of compassion for kids and old people.. they seem to get it the worst because they are vulnerable.....
