if you had a second cousin who grew up in a different area from you and your families never had get togethers or the such, and you found this second cousin attractive, would you be willing to consider a relationship with them? or is the familial bond still to strong?

Not only too strong but illegal in most states. You can't help who you are attracted too but you don't have to act on it.

just a question to see peoples opinions.

i'm not religious or anything, but if you believe in creationism then you have to concede that at least once this world was populated by incest and inbreeding.

Well, maybe you want to do a little more research. I mean is it really a second cousin or maybe a more distant cousin? It might be worth a shot. If all else fails, you can always move to Kentucky...first cousins are allowed to marry there. Just an idea.

Staunch supporter of Evolution here...but that might explain some people I've met...

Actually, when I lived in Georgia (yea) there was a family like that...all 5 of the grown children were severely retarded & lived on welfare... It was a dirty lil secret, but for the most part, the Community turned a blind eye to it. I heard the parents were brother & sister, but I didn't go into it that deeply...

I doubt I'd even know this person was a relative. I'm not a family reunion sort... but if they had the same last name it would be a clue.

If I knew they were related, no way no how would I be attracted. My mind couldn't even go there! I have a very attractive cousin and never once did I ever go there. I always acknowledged he was attractive, but I was not attracted to him. Ewwww.

The only thing that gets a wee bit complicated is when you have to explain to your children that their mother is also their cousin and their grandmother doubles as their aunt. Sure saves money on Christmas gifts though...cuts your Christmas budget clear in half.
