krupa, i told you that the same organizations are responsible for the slave trade 200 years ago and they are still doing it now. i didn't tell you that you could fix it. theres no way any of us can fix it because man has too insatiable of a greed. as long as the federal reserve note is pretended as good money, we will have these problems.

So....you are pointing out a position that me..you or anyone else cannot fix?
Then why the hell should we feel guilty ?(by proxy, I guess) You see a problem...you see the cause...you see the resources implemented to continue the problem.....what is your magic bullet? Kind of curious. me Personally, would impliment slavery.... anyone with a Federal sentence of a life sentence would become state property...and available for auction. Not only would it relieve huge numbers from the system that tax payers fund...it would reestablish a middle class.....plus, they would be fun to hunt. |

Sicker than what?
Paying for life long incarceration of people who have done terrible things... and basic human upkeep comes from my taxes...your taxes...your parent's taxed wages....the taxes your kid will pay with the first paycheck they earn? But, hey....at least those same felons have threemeals aday, clothing, central heat and air, basic cable, educational employment training, basic health care plus treats and baked goods from every damned church to "Save" thier worthless asses. I know plenty of people who don't have central heat and Air conditioning...or basic health care...let alone cable... I say use em for mine sweepers in Iraq.....if they survive...then knock some time off thier sentance...If I gotta keep paying for thier worthless @sses out of my check....sell them to hunters. |

The fact that your mind even goes there is a concern. Respect for life needs to be universal or you degenerate your own life. It is easy to dismiss those who you hate as unworthy of life but you would not want that done to you in similar circumstances. The incarceration issue is a complicated one. They are good for studies on the human psyche, they are good for helping to stop younguns from doing what they did, since we know the death penalty is a absolutely useless in prevention, etc.... I believe an overhaul of that system is needed to remove the death penalty and find more productive ways for these lives to contribute to the society because as it is now they do get wasted most of the time. |

jess, buhdists don't think like you do. if you are buhdist you are supposed to be tolerant of other's intollerance. because it is their circle of life that they are experiencing. once you touch a life and made it worse for the suffering of that person, you will take on those negative energies to carry with you.
