Obama's Poll Numbers Are Falling to Earth

Polling data show that Mr. Obama's approval rating is dropping and is below where George W. Bush was in an analogous period in 2001. Rasmussen Reports data shows that Mr. Obama's net presidential approval rating -- which is calculated by subtracting the number who strongly disapprove from the number who strongly approve -- is just six, his lowest rating to date.

Overall, Rasmussen Reports shows a 56%-43% approval, with a third strongly disapproving of the president's performance. This is a substantial degree of polarization so early in the administration. Mr. Obama has lost virtually all of his Republican support and a good part of his Independent support, and the trend is decidedly negative.

A detailed examination of presidential popularity after 50 days on the job similarly demonstrates a substantial drop in presidential approval relative to other elected presidents in the 20th and 21st centuries. The reason for this decline most likely has to do with doubts about the administration's policies and their impact on peoples' lives.

Agian not the point the point of it is to voice my opinion on the matter just as you do on these threads, but after seeing the same thing over and over again I stopped voicing my opinion on the subject is obama bad or good?, does god exist or not?, evolution creationism?, but the constant baraging of spam threads that are put on here by the same 3-5 people who are just nitpicking little half truths here or there. Clearly as you can see constantly reading the same spam over and over is frustrating.

Not complaining about anything. Merely commenting that what you typed made sense, quite probably, only to you. It would be akin to me walking into a group of people discussing the qualities of Tupperware and blurting "I like to fish and my truck's radiator is leaking but I am riding bike." Short bus. I tend to think that his numbers are probably worse...think about it...if 47% voted against him...and...according to this poll ALL of his soft republican support has " already left the building "...top that off with his dwindling independent support...and for good measure...just throw in 10%...of moderate to conservative Dem support...wouldn't that put his disapproval around 60% ?...if Obamas done anything well...it's to piss off numerous and various groups...all in less then 2 months !...he's even got me scratchin' my head...for instance...this last pork laiden...9200 earmark loaded bill that he just signed...why wouldn't you veto it...grandstand about " too many pet projects "...and then turn around and sign a bill with half the pork...that way...at least you get some of what you want now...with the rest...scheduled for another bill later...
