i've given this some thought, and i think i might benefit from being asexual. no men, no women, just me. it's time for me to get serious about things (ignore the picture). maybe now i can accomplish my dream of becoming a professional napper, or a sumo weasel wrestler...theres lots to think about here...lots of seriousness about seriously serious things

I chose abstinance for 10 years. It's do-able!!! Joke or not, it's a real choice.

I can highly recommend the book "Morrissey in Conversation: The Essential Interviews" by Paul A. Woods.

I am the son...and the heir...of a shyness that is criminally vulgar...

I've been abstinant for the past 2 years. It began when i was still married and my husband's lover was his bottle, then we seperated and i need time to heal the wounds. Now i am checking out who is out there and maybe one day i will find the right person who will take me out of the funk i am in.

I would bet money on it that it was not self imposed...

You're 18, just ended a 3 year relationship, and you're talking about just enjoying sex by yourself.
There's a story between those lines. Feeling a bit used? Like the "pretty people" that are seen as objects, and having difficulty being "seen" without just being looked at?
Not saying that you are right or wrong.
You've got this one chance to learn to use youthfulness and looks to enhance your daily life and your future. Because they will fade. It won't come back, even when you're told that you look better and better.
Today's options for a good life are there. Use your goodies, for a great job, and start college, and look at careers...play the damn game to win, for you, because nobody else is responsible to do it for you.
And then, when you're OLD and in your mid/late twenties...

Agreed. This is very doable. Since my partner moved out of the country two years ago I've been alone and have healthfully turned inward to work on Donaven. Without the distractions of sex or the pressures of dating, the self development has been amazing.

If you decide to persue that avenue, good luck, my friend.

Hey asexual is a good thing, how ever just focusing on yourself and pursuing what you want to do until god sends you that special someone is not a bad option to. To keep and open heart and open mind is a good thing. But don't let dating and bad realtionships hinder your options you never know when oppertunities will come knocking on your door. So good luck I wish you the best in what ever it is that you decide to do.
