Could you skip a meal?

That a hungry child might eat.

Would you risk your life?

That a child might be educated.

Could you stand in peace?.

Though it meant your death.

That mankind might live?

And all the earths children might thrive!

Should you be this righteous 72 would not be the limit of your reward… For you will

Have stood within the glory that is greater than all things…

And all that is… will be yours for the asking.

words of greater insight, that care but for more than himself.

the path of the world come in a day, to be greater than all the paths ever walked by human man before.

1 Cor 13

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love

Miles...

You have just quoted verse which greatly affected my person as a young adult, and it still finds a place.

what is love except that which see nothing as hate, seeing but love defined, only create the first thing called hate, and most why it was spoken, in the passage quoted from miles, "believe all things", as in past days there were many definitions, but none of these spoken, were not added to by each speaker, as being "in part", knowing that days greater were to come, days to come to tear down defintions, which created walls, which created but fragile ego's, which created distain, which created despise, which created even hate, but just as all things have increased with time, so doth the knowing, that only the embracing of all things as indeed love, bring greater sight of far more, that humanity so seek.

yea, for the days of the toughening of man, come upon the earth, to strengthen, unto being able to withstand a barrage and deluge of negative against self, strengthening the feet, that once stumbled and denied anything, even remotely not perceived as unconditional love from another, not yet seeing that unconditional love is but all things accepted, that once reduced mankind to whimpering children of unsanity, only but following vain flattery and self praise as some guide and validation of truth, but such days are as even past now.

and the glory, and valor, and courage, and greater stength, that seek wisdom and understanding, to love and understand all it see as evil in other's, shall prevail unto infinity.

Too bad the Bible didn't preach love the whole way through, it might have had some credibility if it had done that. As it is, it should be pretty obvious that it is indeed just a cannon of random thoughts. Some good, some pretty nasty, and obviously nothing consistent enough to indicate that it came from a single mind.

Yes, some of the men who contributed to this cannon had nice things to say, other men did not.

Could you skip a meal?......yes and done it often for the reason below.

That a hungry child might eat.

Would you risk your life?................ Of course!

That a child might be educated.

Could you stand in peace?.........Death is peace.

Though it meant your death.

That mankind might live?..........This is a hard one, AB...If I can take out the sadness, and in my own death remove all prejudice, greed and corruption...yes.

And all the earths children might thrive!...that would be a wonderful thing.

*******************************************************************

Should you be this righteous 72 would not be the limit of your reward… For you will

Have stood within the glory that is greater than all things…

And all that is… will be yours for the asking.

This bit I come undone on AB....

I cannot reconcile having a 'reward'...for doing that which is inherant in all of us....(for some it is a latent quality).

Could you skip a meal? do not need faith to do this.

That a hungry child might eat. don't know what this has to do with faith

Would you risk your life? matter of loyalty not faith

That a child might be educated. same as the hungry child question not sure what it has to do with faith

Could you stand in peace?. don't need faith to do this

Though it meant your death. I am going to die doesn't matter if I have faith or not

That mankind might live? what mankind does is only you can only effect like .0001% of at max unless you try to be a world dictator

And all the earths children might thrive! redundentcy from the mankind question

and one thing I am wondering is faith in what God Allah Enlightenment?

That someone famous was Adolf Hitler in "Mein Kampf".

Hmmm...

1. the greatest one of these is love

2. faith is belief in things unseen

3. Xians here often try to "justify" their faith...
