Naw, its a computer hookup for telephone. You can get it at Radio Shack.

Hiya Pats What the samhill is the magic jack? Is that the special plate in your skull where you can get emails via telekinesis? It works with your pc as long as you have dsl or better, initially it's $50 & then $19.99 a year after that, seems like a good deal.

It routs your phone through your computer hookup. I am not quite sure about all the ins and outs. One big disadvantage I have heard, is that it won't work while you are online. I am not sure about that tho.

ohhhh... it's just for phone calls then Well heck I have a cell phone already. I don't need the stupid land lines anyway. That's why I'm having them disconnected. I just wish there was some way I could get broadband internet service here without having to deal with either AT&T or the cable companies.

Sorry bud. We have a system out here in Portland. But, of course, I am just outside thier coverage. Its called "Clear" you can see if they are in your area. Wifi on steriods is what I hear.

The problem with wireless is the security breaches. Now I sound like a whiner don't I? Sheesh. I keep checking around but so far I only have two choices for broadband connection - sucks and suckier.

OK... what the samhill is THAT?? Verizon offers phone , internet & cable in a bundle the one we chose is $139 a month for 2 years. Fios is fiber optics

I have been on the "friends and family" plan for two years. They are even charging for calling/receiving calls from other Verison customers.(suposebly free). Denying access to the website to check billing etc. When I did get software upgrades on the phone, the dialtones were reset to factory spec. That really had me messed up. Not good calling a customer" sweets ". Thinking it was my girlfriend.

Time to go shopping it sounds like! May I suggest a 9mm or a 357? a little more stopping power. I don't like 9's or 45's personally.A good 357 double action, and a couple speed loaders. PS, stay off the damned tequila while you have a firearm on hand!
