there isn't any local phone company office to go to it's all done over the phone and the internet part of the charm of mega-corporations

they don't care - the emails just get dealt with in whatever order they're received You're dealing with people who get paid by the hour - NOT by the happy customer. They don't care what you think of the phone company. The really irritating part is I have no choice. Use AT&T or go without a phone and DSL. I could switch to cable internet but that's about three times the cost and I hate the cable companies more than the phone co's.

No kidding. Start licking stamps again. If that cellular linkup was a little cheaper I'd go with that - but I can get a dry loop DSL for just $25 a month... IF they ever answer my damn calls!
