I go to jails, I interview inmates. My safety is left to the jail staff. The Deputy CO's. Other than that, I really have no risk. No environmental toxins, no lifting or carrying, etc.

I work in the County Clerk's office in the County Courthouse dealing with land records and accounting. So my risks are lifting 40-60 lb books, climbing ladders, possibility of bomb threats, crazy court people upstairs. And worst of all... paper cuts! sad

Prevention is just being careful lifting the books and going up and down the ladders. Bomb threats - staying calm and notating everything that is said. Crazy court people - leave it up to the Sheriff's department and always rely on our panic button. For the paper cuts... keeping super glue on hand at all times!

Lead. As in wheel weights. I stock and sell over 5000 pounds of new weights and have collected for scrap over 5000 pounds of used weights.

Driving. Over 125 miles every day. And there are a lot of nutcases on the roads. This is the season for deer and skunks to commit suicide. Luckily I have only hit a pigeon.

Stress. And lack of sleep... I exercise and eat right. Now if I can just turn off my brain at night! Sometimes it keeps running even when I'm physically exhausted!
