one how the days pass by so slow how the nights are cold and how these days are old how many lights a twinkle through my sliding glass door like fire opals amidst the earth and sky they sparkle, city lights one day they will be no more everyone wants to pair up before the world ends I too am not immune to loneliness many stars in the sky and I am one many light years apart on the bus I am in my own milky way billions of bodies of lights around me as I speed up through hyperspace when I shop I am a distance away I hear what you say but I do not relate while I walk about town I am in my own sector I see you too but I do not decipher I am out of part and out of place is there one alone like me we can meet underneath the stars we can walk us two instead one © |
