Read Maslow's hierarchy of needs and tell me how you feel after that, I covers basic human needs. And the levels and degrees we each seek. People are comfortable at different levels and some never pursue actualization.

LOL Maslow's hierarchy of needs was Psych 101, I know all about it. Food Shelter and so on. I don't mean a person having nothing literally, I mean without the feeling of love and/or being loved, it feels like having nothing.

Literal much?

LOL! Ok since you seem to have the LITERAL hat on, that was a generalization when I said, "without the feeling of love and/or being loved, it feels like having nothing" I was speaking for myself. But come on, you are female. You don't get emotional when that happens? So what you're essentially saying is that not having love will not hurt us? What about parental love, sibling love? I never specified what type of love, I simply said love.

no it would not hurt me, I can live without love from others. I will give you this much though. I do believe self love to be important more than any other.

Ok yes, I could "live" without love, not like I have to have it. But I don't want to be without love in my life be it family or significant other. I believe a lot of people claim they could survive just fine without it, but what if your children stopped loving you or anyone in your family? No doubt you would survive, but it would be a dour existence... maybe even one not worth living for? See my point now? If you say it would not hurt you, to at least some extent then I think you're not being honest with yourself.

I never said it wouldnlt hurt, said I wouldn't shrivel up and die. I could move on and exist and conform to changes, have done it all my life......next! Besides you asked if I would be nothing w/o it and all I am saying is no I would not be nothing w/o it. Quit picking apart my answers and move the flip on, geez already.

If I can cut in here, I think humans need other people and love to flourish. I mean any kind of love. Love between a parent and a child, etc. etc. etc.

because without it, you have nothing. Who agrees?

Love is great and all, but I wouldn't say you have nothing without it. Then again, there's still a lot of love around even if you're not dating someone. Love can come from family and friends, too.
