Everyone has an opinion. To bash anothers opinion only discredits the basher. I wish to maintain my Right to Keep and Bare my Arms. It can be proven, good guys can go Postal and kill with guns. Police and military have abused the power. I like knowing if the shelves at the store are bare, I have an open option to go hunt food. In the desert, there are wild animals that attack to kill. When I'm on the job on the ranch, I am always armed. I also feel a bit better knowing I have that extra edge against the bad guy who wishes me bodily harm. Why do you like guns?

Personal safety if needed. I'm starting with the local search & rescue and being in the desert, there are animals that like to eat. I've never had to even so much as aim at a person and I hope I never do - I would just feel safer the option is there.
Currently on hold pending background check for this one:  Now I just need to go file some papers and talk to a few of my buddies in the sheriff's dept. to have them help along my ccw |

Not picking on you slow, but it always cracks me up to hear someone openly exclaim that they are a marksman. As if that were spectacular. In the Infantry, You had better be a marksman. Any lower and you would never finish basic training. The order of medals for riflemen, from the worst to the best, is, Marksman,,, Sharpshooter,,, and the highest - Expert!
