To all you people who might own Fable 2, a word to the wise...

Make sure that your clothes have the dyes you want on them B-E-F-O-R-E you kill Lucien in the Spire...

I changed the colors of my clothes immediately upon leaving the Spire. Initially, it was fine, but as soon as I passed to another region, the colors were changed back. I was like, wtf, so I went to the options screen to re-dye my clothes...only to find that the clothes were dyed my new colors in options, just not in the world. I had to quit my game and return to it to resolve this problem.

Later, I changed my clothes colors to grey and white, and it worked fine, and I thought, great, that's the last we'll see of that glitch. Then, hours later, when I got sick of my Hero's drab colors, I stumbled on some indigo dye and changed my colors...and the same damn thing, my colors changed in options, but not in the game world...

I thought it might be dye related, but every time I changed colors I got the same thing. Oddly, I found that I could change the color of other items in my inventory without a problem (as long as I wasn't wearing the item in question). I tried changing the colors of my preferred clothing (for the record, highwayman coat, explorer shirt, highwayman gloves, pauper trousers and explorer boots) when I wasn't wearing them, but oddly, some of my changes were accepted, others weren't. rant Too stubborn to quit my game and come back to it---which I admit, would have saved me 45 minutes---I tried selling my clothes and buying the same stuff from different merchants, but they still had my drab grey and white colors that were unchangable.

(sigh) Finally bowing to the inevitable, I left my game and came back to it, and fixed the problem...

And yes, I am bored enough right now that I would bother to make a post about this on the forums.laugh
