I know people are so infernally obsessed with looks that they'll get into abusive or unhealthy relationships they started because they were only physically attracted to their partners, that it's becoming epidemic. I want to believe my appearance is what's holding me back but I wonder if it's something else. Anyone want to tell me what else I'm doing wrong?

Perhaps your self-confidence is not where it should be. The nature of this post suggests as much. Women are very attracted to assertive and confident men.

I agree. Everyone is beautiful to someone - it's just a matter of finding that person that can't get enough of you. Also, don't worry so much about what people are thinking about you. Worry about what you're thinking about yourself. No one can really love you until you love yourself.
