I have heard that some religions don't believe animals go to heaven when they die, because they don't possess a soul. Personally, I think it's a bunch of b.s., and animals are far more innocent than humans. Is that why? Because they are innocent in nature, and don't sin...therefore they are not allowed to be with God? I thought being free from sin would be a shoe in to the pearly gates.

True, I was always taught that animals didn't have a soul, so therefore they don't go to heaven and just rot in the earth

.....But I would like to think that they all go to this happy place where it is always warm and happy for them and they can run around with other animals

* I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up.
* I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.
* I will not munch on "leftovers" in the kitty litter box; although they are tasty, they are not food.
* The diaper pail is not a cookie jar.
* The sofa is not a face towel; neither are Mom and Dad's laps.
* The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
* My head does not belong in the refrigerator.
* I will not bite the officer's hand when he reaches in for Mom's driver's license and registration.
* I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.
* Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is not an acceptable way of saying 'hello.'
* I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table.
* I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house.
* I will not throw up in the car.
* I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt across the carpet.
* I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch when company is over.
* The cat is not a squeaky toy; so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing

I don't believe in an afterlife... So if I'm not going anywhere after death, I don't think my dog is either!

Hoping all is well with you.

I care not for the company of men or the trappings of an earthly life that some seem to hope heaven holds as a reward.

I do not wish for any reward other than this small request.

I hope to go to the woods with my dog at my side. I promised him...we have bunnies to hunt and cool nights under the stars beside the fire still ahead of us. He waits for me I know.
