Topic: Too busy to read mail?

I responded to someone who matched with me 7 days ago and she hasn't even read the email (according to the lack of checkmark in the "read" column). Why do people bother to write to you if they don't want to follow up? I don't have time to waste. Also, I stated I was just looking for friends right now and I got a couple of emails from women who are looking for a date. I'm beginning to wonder why I joined this group. Anyone else have these issues?

bigsmile Sometimes I get too many emails and its hard to answer them all in a timely fashionbigsmile

Calm down honey.....you haven't been here long enough to meet the real freaks or the truly nice, sweet, genuine people. Give it a fair shot before you get too p*ssed off. (Believe me...I went through the same thing)

First, if YOU 'didn't have time to Waste, you wouldn't be on here or any site.

Second, anything worth THINKING about, is NOT a waste of MY time.

And last, YOU have to allow a GREAT DEAL of time to even meet one REAL person on any site, so give US time to see you and don't let the acts of a few make you feel or think we ALL act the same..

Post, reply, be seen, and just keep trying to find a friend,,and YOU will find MANY,wink,,GOOD LUCK.. flowerforyou

By saying I didn't have time to waste I meant that I wrote a fairly lengthy email back to the person who contacted me, thinking they were interested. I figured a week was a reasonable time to expect a reply. Guess I'm naive about my expectations here, especially since I'm not getting much mail to begin with.

It has now been 12 days since I replied to the person who wrote to me, Far as I can tell, she hasn't even read it yet. I check this site every day. If I had written to someone and thought I'd get a reply, I'd certainly be checking. So much for being a frustrated newbie.
