I know it's bad etiquette to bring up past relationships when meeting a new potential suitor, but I thought I'd create a thread where people can do just that without having to worry about rambling! My ex boyfriend started out like a real charmer. We met in English class in college, and he asked me out after a few IM chitty-chatties. For our first date he took me to a Japanese restaurant and then to see a really BAD movie that we made fun of. The whole time we laughed and had fun. Then after a few days, he presented me with a ringpop and asked me if I would be his girlfriend. I thought it was the bees knees and fell for his clumsy charm.

Then we played Scrabble.

I'm not a word whiz or anything, but somehow I was just infinitely better than he was at Scrabble. He got pretty annoyed (after only two or three games!) and began making accusations like "that's not a real word!" In one such instance we consulted the dictionary, which confirmed that, yes, "Charmer" was a word. After a heated argument, he flipped the board and we never played again. A month into the relationship, he became very irate for no apparent reason. We went to the home of a couple friend of mine, and while we were playing a 4-player video game, he got livid that I was losing (we were on the same team) and threatened to make me walk home. Then he started, in time, calling me a "retard" and "stupid" and what-have-you. Now my friends are really friendly people and one of them pulled me aside and said they honestly didn't like this guy.

The relationship lasted three months, and ended quite abruptly when he called me the "c" word. That's right folks! It rhymes with "hunt" in case you didn't know.

It's been over a year, and I can laugh now about how crazy the guy was. And cry a little, because things like this always happen to me

K i have one. Not as bad as that but here it goes...

So i'm taking this japanese class and there's this girl. She's kinda cute, doesn't talk much. Seems really shy. Well I ask her out one day. Meet her on campus to go to a local resturant. I'm usually the silent person in my group of friends. She had absolutely nothing to say. So i start getting all nervous trying to come up with things to talk about. She gives me nothing for answers and follows up with a question that has nothing to do with the topic. My favorite one was after dinner and we were walking through a park, she turns to me and asks, "what's your favorite color?" Completely out of the blue. To make matters worse i learn during dinner that she was underage, 17. Not that it really matters but I was shocked, being 20 at the time. So after the color question we ended up half-heartedly talking about cartoons and i think pokemon came up. And then we finally got back to her dorm. Said goodnight and that was it. Most awkward date i've ever had. And the awkwardness lasted the rest of the school year, cause she was in the same japanese class as me in the following semester. :P lol

I will tell a story about how i broke up with one of my ex-girlfriends:
One day i texted my college girlfriend to tell her how terrible I felt about cheating. She replied saying she was so relieved because she had been cheating on me with a guy in her dorm. I was talking about my math exam...

i think in order to have a horror story about a date u would have to have one you can remember.

oh man that sucks. but it's better to find out than be duped.

my story is stupid. it was my first date with this chick i met at a party. she was going on and on about how much she liked my truck...well complimenting a car guy's vehicle is about the best aphrodisiac in the world. ha. so i picked her up, she looked pants-tightening hot, and things were going great until we got to the truck. she griped that it was hard to climb into with her tight skirt, so i just picked her up and put her in. no problem. then she complained about my music, then the exhaust was too loud (no it wasn't), then the right was too stiff....whine whine whine. about a mile down the road i calmly pulled a U-turn and dropped her back at her apartment. good riddance.

One time I dated a werewolf...Nuff said. XD
