Ok... all better... **** happens in everyone's life and everyone's had to deal with my "something's come up", so I'm due to deal with it from others. I can be cool.

I guess I'll call the only other person I know who was planning on being there (although at 8 instead of 7 pm) and see if we want to still go there or elsewhere.

I'll have a drink for everyone who couldn't make it.
Uh... maybe not. I'm not a big drinker (1 to 3 will put me over the edge, depending on the drink), so maybe I'll just say a toast and have a sip for each of you.
