I think this is a great idea! It’s a way to meet multiple people at one time. I do have a few suggestions:

Set dates for 2 consecutive weekends because a lot of people have weekends they rotate with jobs, kids, etc. Example: Saturday, April 18 and Saturday, April 25.

Schedule at least 2 weeks in advance. This gives people time to see if one of the dates fits into their schedule as well as more time to get the word out… which leads the next suggestion.

Have people put the info or a link to this chat at the top of their profile so that the word spreads more. If it’s at the top of the profile, it will be seen on the “match with” page and more people will know about it.

Lastly, people can post here if they will ‘maybe’ or ‘definitely’ be there and on which day so you can see an approximately how many will be there on which days and if you’re open to either day and happen to hope to meet someone specific, you can see which day that person plans on attending and likewise attend.

If I hadn’t had trouble sleeping and started cruising around on here, I would never have known anyone was thinking of getting a group together, so I think the most important thing would be to add it to the tops of profiles. If anyone actually sets a date, please send me a note so I can sign up and do whatever I can to spread the word.

Fantastic idea!!!! Well, lets get some dates together. I had a great time with a few friends yesterday, but hey!!! You can never have too many friends. What about this coming weekend and the next?
