Ok...I work at Bath & Body Works and run into all kinds of strange people on a regular basis.

Yesterday, this married couple walks in and since (because of the snow) there wasn't anyone else in the store and business was generally on the crappy side, I pounced on them to make a sale.

I asked them if I could help them and the guy goes: "Yeah...there's this girl I work with and she smells really good...I asked her what perfume she was wearing and she said that it was something from Bath & Body Works...I forgot the name...White something or other...and there was an H in there somewhere."

So after running a few ideas by them, I finally concluded that he was probably talking about Wild Honeysuckle (not necessarily a favorite of mine)...I gave his wife the bottle and she sprayed some on her wrist. She then proceeded to stick it under her husband's nose and said: "Is this it? Do you like it?" and he goes "Yeah...I think that's it...I'm not sure". So she replies "Well do you want me to get it?" and he says "Yeah...why don't you...I really think this might be it."

Conclusion: Is it just me or is it kind of a weird request if a husband (or significant other) asks a woman to wear the same perfume as a girl he works with?

I mean if a guy asked me to do that, I'd tell him to kiss my ass. Like I want to smell like some floozie from work so he gets reminded of her everytime he comes near me??? I think not!

I say this guy's wife is a moron...next thing she knows he's gonna ask her to dye her hair and get a boob job.

Maybe they just have a very open honest relationship. He likes the smell she wants to please him.

Isn't that what perfumes are for, to be enjoyed? Why would you get upset because your significant other/ hubby/ wife smelled something they enjoyed enough to want you to wear it? And some are so strong they knock you over at 50 paces lol....

Loving someone and wishing to please them because they like a scent is not a big deal. Even dressing up and wearing a wig is not a big deal. After many years changing sometimes fro each other can add excitement for both. Maybe she was thinking of a hunk at work and he did the same for her. As long as they are the ones each other loves and wants to be with and are open with each other, I do not see an issue!!

That woman at work has this really sexy lacy lingerie... I accidentally saw it when I was bending her over in the storage closet...

Honestly, I don't think thats strange! I have smelled a guy and asked him what he had on and thought, wow I should buy that because he smelled really good. It wasn't because I would think of him every time my mate wore it, it just smelled really good.
I think if you smell something you like, why wouldn't it be alright to share it with your mate? I don't think it has to have any kind of meaning behind it...like you have a crush on anyone, it could just mean that you liked the way it smelled!!

That's what I thought...I mean he could have come to the store without his wife and buy the perfume for her.

As a matter of fact, they do. If not bath stuff then something that'll make their house smell good...we do sell that too, you know.

The saying you smelled the scent on a woman recently thing is fine, but bringing up the woman at work...

Dunno, if my significant other said to me there is this guy at work that smelled really good it would raise my eyebrow.

I agree if you look for duplicity you can cause it to happen through mistrust. Whats the point to faithfulness if the trust is not there from the start?? Especially when being honest with your mate. Why cause mistrust to start??

This is all just another reason for me to never set foot in that type of store. I'll go to the nearest book or electronic store while she shops for smelly stuff.
