We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat.
* They risk their lives crossing a border.
* They don't get paid enough wages.
* They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do.
* They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
* They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day ~ every day.

I'm not talking about illegal imigrants ~ I'm talking about our troops!
Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops, and are even threatening to defund them?

While I agree with much avidity that our troops should be given more support....
I must admit to being biased due to the political treatment of "minorities" being more often than not through a great many legal systems much more accommodating than for those not considered minorities.
For those who deserve the title of being a soldier or service member, yes they do need more support and better pay..at least so those with families do not fit every qualification for welfare, but are denied because of military affiliation.

There are a great many things service members get away with because they are service members..that should not be tolerated at all. In addition because they are service members..they should be held to even higher standards than the average civilian...and instead what I have seen constantly is that what would have thrown a civilian in jail immediately is brushed under the rug because they have a uniform... things from child abuse and murder, to drunk driving(oddly enough there is more of a crack down on the drunk driving than on incidents where child and spousal abuse is involved.)

I know it isn't meant to be a serious post, but:

Those are not minorities. Nor they are majorities. These folks can't be assigned a status like this. Because, they can easily move in and out of "minority", they don't suffer anything they didn't decide to suffer.

They could have become a wall street bankers and receive huge bail outs these days.

Instead, they have chosen to go and fight.

Honorable? May-be. Tough? Yes. Minority? Nope.
