So I decided to paint a accent wall in my den. Would you paint the wall the armoire(sp) is on, the tv, stereo, and books are stored in it, or would you paint the wall that the fireplace is on? The accent wall will be a bronzed amber color, the other walls are a dark beige...so, any advice? ps....I do not get my feelings hurt...if you think this will look bad, PLEASE tell me!!!!!!

No, I don't think it will look bad. The colors go together. Maybe a little stenciling would touch it up too.

Okay wish there were photos of the room to aid in accent placement
What would you prefer the main focal point of the room to be when walking into it?
if the furniture is more directed at the t.v. use that wall for the accent color
if the furniture is equally divided between the two or more center toward the fireplace accent the fireplace wall

either way I would personally accent the fireplace wall because there are more options for seasonal decoration around a fireplace that are easy to change up...

Fireplace wall..

Using the fireplace will add an awesome glow to the room, playing off the bronzed amber colours upon the wall.

Neither one.

Paint the wall that is unoccupied by fireplace or the entertainment stuff, letting those two walls "speak" for themselves, so that the accent provides a visual/mental transition betwixt the two.
