At this point I don't believe anything.

"Meant to be" implies that there is someone/something in charge of determining what the "meaning" is ("meaning" requiring some sort of intent or volition on the part of whoever/whatever), and I don't believe in anything like that.

I don't believe there is inherently and necessarily someone for everybody -- or someone for anybody, for that matter. There is luck, circumstance, taking steps in that direction, etc. -- no guarantees, no absolutes. And a lot also depends on what you're looking for and what your standards are....
