She will struggle for
Her survival daily Wielding her dignity Well armored in Painted on bravado The scent of Eau de Confidence Masking the fears and Uncertainties Of the little child Who cowers inside She has no choice … She is always a Woman She will fight the good fight For her right to be heard Knowing her word is as Good as the next Making her stand Tall as an Oak when She knows she’s righteous Yet bending soft as a Willow When she knows She is not… She is always a Woman She will gently Nurture a child Mothering her Precious jewel Cradled in soft warm Arms deceptively fragile Vicious armed and Dangerous guardians Keepers of the gate The treasure safe Within them under Her watchful eye… She is always a Woman She will love a man Deep passions burning Bright in a night Sparks ignite cool Timber set aflame Under curious hands Wandering warm mouth Inviting deep kisses Silky scented skin Tantalizing tongue Teasing Pleasing Uninhibited Offering up her Soul giving up Anything Everything and More…. She will be left Emptied Bereft Bloodied Brokenhearted Yet still She will Continue … …to give… She will cry her tears When no one can hear Late at night in the confines Of a cold lonely bed once Filled with heated passions Gently paging through Her memories as though They were well worn parchment Precious under loving fingertips Reliving every moment Her heart aching Snapping Breaking Under the weight of her loss In the morning she will Dry her eyes Still her cries Walk out into the world Proud and Tall Doing it all again… She doesn’t know Any other way … She is Always … …a Woman… February 22, 2009 |

You have told a story that many live. You, MsWiz, just haven't receive the ending you rightly deserve and long for. I know it's coming-how could it not-you're one in a million.

1 Corinthians 13
1. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5. does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6. does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7. bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. More than a woman Alicia.... a Goddess indeed. Your greatest day lies ahead, each better than the next, in a life of many tomorrows. |
