are you going to watch it live today?

|
|
|
Nope.

|

nope
I have a big bucket full of I don't care |

I don't care for it. But a friend is having an Oscar party and people get to dress up, we vote on who we want to win, and there are prizes for the guests. And food and drinking. Sounds like that should be a bit on the fun side.

Live? No. I'll probably tape it so I can edit out the boring speeches and commercials.

A friend of mine usually does that and it's a blast.

Glad I took that nap. 4 hours was WAY too long. Curious Case took Oscars for things it shouldn't have. I'm for bed.

The outcome( winners) were as I predicted....
Was'nt expecting the "Joaquin" hit though...I wouldn't give him the attention... |

I saw the Oscars live last nite, and I thought it was one of the best the Academy has ever had! Loved Hugh Jackman, glad alot of the extra junk was cut, I am sooo tired of all the singing and dancing to fill in for prior shows. I think 2 things would have made it perfect: 1) Start it at 8pm Eastern and end it by 10:30pm at the latest!! I personally don't need Ben Stiller etc to give me comic relief. Just get on with the show. 2) Don't put all the top awards at the end of the show. It would liven it up to spread it around through out the show. Otherwise great show and the stage was great too.

Hugh Jackman was very entertaining.

it was good i liked the new setup where the past winners presented to the new winner.
i have to say i don't think beyonce should be allowed to sing etta james songs ever again. that girl butchers that damned song. god. but anne hathaway ... ooohhh she's cute. ;p i wubwub her and penn's speech.. damn. so i heard mickey rourke is back? |

I did really like the 5 past winners presenting and also the way they had something REALLY nice to say about each nominee...sort of made everyone a winner before the recipient was announced. Sort of a 'kinder gentler' Oscar night, IMO. I enjoyed what I saw of the show.
