Have you posted on here and folks come back with discounting remarks, pretty much telling you, you and your opinion is worthless?
If I have an opinion on something I researched and post it here, I have no problem with another poster coming on and offering evidence to back up their opinion But, to come on here and accuse others of being racist, narrow-minded or un-American, just because the views are different, to me, is abusive.
Without naming names, have you felt put-down, or belittled by other posters and what do you suppose the Mods should do about those who are repeatedly abusive?

no because i don't take what people say in any forum to heart in any way shape or form.

its the nature of the beast. sure no one likes it when hecklers hit the threads and do it only to get a rise out of people. but thats how it is. they are out there. so you just look at them as ignorant peoples and move on.

i guess all i can tell you its its the internet. nothin is as it seems. and if you sit here and take it seriously, you'll get nothing but hurt.

i also feel if you can't handle reading other people's thoughts, a forum isnt something you should expose yourself to. because there will always be people pushing angry negative thoughts out there in any medium they can find.

so if you're lookin for pure kindness and politeness... it wont be found in a forum of open thought and free thinking.

I stay away from the political and religious threads to avoid that type of interaction. Unfortunately, you can find it elsewhere on the threads. However, sometimes people are just poking a little fun and the target reacts like they have a stick up their butt.

You pay your money and take your chances. Oh yeah, this site is free....

The haters will hate. It's up to you how you will react and how much it bothers you.

I've been here long enough to have a fairly good idea of who knows what they're talking about, whose stuff is worth reading, and whose stuff is just parroted blatherings worthy of the dung heap.

I very rarely have problems with people responding to my posts in an insulting of belittling way -- even before I was a mod -- and I always figured it was just because the people I would expect that from don't even bother to read my posts anymore. The six of them are too busy making their vapid 47-page "Hi"-fests elsewhere.

As far as what the mods should do about it -- if you see attacking, insulting, baiting, etc., going on, report it. We can't catch every single thing that happens here, and we rely on the information from everyone out there to keep the forums fun and safe and within the rules.

Yeah. A couple of times. I've been called a number of things simply because I gave my opinion about something.

to be honest there isn't to many serious subjects or even humorous ones that will go unscathed as for the Mods they miss somethings,thats why you or others can report it nice post by the way

With 22+thousand posts, you may have encountered this topic before.

I've been tactless and stupid enough times that receiving the same thing back shouldn't phase me at all.

But the sting of it does tend to humble me...and sometimes that is a good thing.

JUST NOW ! I had to laugh she did a Mutual match and I returned it.. then sent an e mail.. She replied calling me shallow and so many other things! I replied asking why did she do a mutual match in the first place with out reading my profile... Its hilarious... See women are as bad as the men when it comes to "visual"...

yes and it happens no matter what thread you start or post in. You just have to roll with it!
