Simple. Get off your lazy butt and message someone. Dont wait for them to message you. Because if you do chances are your dream date will be taken. Message at least 3 people you like per day and I say to you that you will find someone. Sound off on this topic.

Yeah. Message them and not get any response back. Been there, done that. You'd have better luck sending smoke signals.

Sometimes ppl. will not respond.,when you send them mail.and sometimes they think you are being pushy,I'm almost afraid to send any mail.-without getting mail first.

That was never my style anyway, i normally let them mail me first. It only works if you get well known in the forums though.

The best way is to make them laugh, and the forums are the best place to do that.

I agree; except for me, messaging someone on this site is rather pointless cause the ones I'm attracted to live thousands of miles away. Hard when you live in a rural area out in the middle of the pacific.

Anyone who's been on this site more than a month will know that the whole one-sided message fiasco is a common occurrence here at Mingle. You message someone to try to open up a channel, and they don't respond. Send a second message to try to find out if they got your first message, and they don't respond to that, either. You send a THIRD message asking why they won't respond to your messages, and you get blocked. Happens all the time here.

In fact, the only thing that happens more than the whole non-response thing is the impossibly-long-distance LDR, where you find out that the person who DID respond to you lives clear on the other side of the planet. And they STILL expect you to just "come on by" as if you were taking a drive around the block.

I have met several people from this site that I didnt msg first..Granted I dated one for a short stretch of time and the others became friends so I have concluded either way it dosent make a difference.

If you mail people you see in the forums, you will have a good chance of getting a response. Its best to sit back a bit and watch and learn, because then you will have something to talk about with them, as you will already have an idea as to what they are going to be like. I reckon i could mail any woman i have seen posting and get a guaranteed response, almost. You get that when you have been around a little while.

I have had lots of luck with contacting people. I wish everyone the same. But I also know everyone has different ways.

Thats not what i am saying. I have complete confidence. What i am saying is when you mail someone blindly that you dont know anything about except from there lame arse profile, you have little chance of a response and an even smaller chance that any conversation will be any good. Im not saying dont email anyone, it just isnt for me, i find it dull. Ive got a girlfriend anyway, but even when i didnt i was the same.
