Why dont they respond to you? Anyone who's been on this site more than a month will know that the whole one-sided message fiasco is a common occurrence here at Mingle. You message someone to try to open up a channel, and they don't respond. Send a second message to try to find out if they got your first message, and they don't respond to that, either. You send a THIRD message asking why they won't respond to your messages, and you get blocked. Happens all the time here. In fact, the only thing that happens more than the whole non-response thing is the impossibly-long-distance LDR, where you find out that the person who DID respond to you lives clear on the other side of the planet. And they STILL expect you to just "come on by" as if you were taking a drive around the block. lmao and i thought i was the only one..i swear i could have word for word exactly what a girl is looking for..and i also could have the exact looks they are looking for..and they could live right across the street for christ sakes..and they wont message you back...its like well if thats what your looking for what the hell crawled up there and died? and yea the whole far away thing. i tell yea i wish i lived in every other state and town then where i do cause i could be a happy man by now..smoke signals might be a good idea..you want to get a huge bon fire going? mabey we can find a cheerleader bus that broke down or something |

Simple. Get off your lazy butt and message someone. Dont wait for them to message you. Because if you do chances are your dream date will be taken. Message at least 3 people you like per day and I say to you that you will find someone. Sound off on this topic. Now anytime a guy messages me, I'm gonna think I was only 1 in 3 that he was attracted to and that there really wasn't anything at all that special about me, giving me yet another reason to not reply.  Granted, I'm sure the more people you contact, the greater your chance of a response; personally I like to be the one who initiates email. I find it much less rehearsed sounding, and the conversation flows smoother, when I write to a guy first. Now that I'm in a relationship, I don't partake in private email, unless it's with a forum poster. |

I am new here but believe that yes you should email people. I have been doing that on another site and have received NO response from any of them....Guess they don't like tall women.. I have not however emailed anyone on this site but have thought about it..I also think that no matter what you should at least have some manners and email back even if you don't think they are right for you....you might find a new friend.
