Ok I know this is a strange thing to ask but I've never gotten an answer that made any sense.

So here it is...I've always been attracted to Asian men, but they wont give me the time of day. My friends say that they're to shy to approach me. Others say they don't think they can get American girls, but I think my friends are full of crap! Getting to the point, do you think its my appearance or that most of them only date other Asians, or something else?
What do ya all think?

Asian men are fun and funny. I dated a Malaysian for a while.

Be careful though. Depending on where they come from, some are very controlling and some are very demanding.

I was the bestman at my kids baby-sitters wedding and he was asian and later left her after his citizenship was granted...

They had one child and he's the one who has suffered through this.

They expect women to behave in a way that they know that American Women do not.

It is simply how it is...believe me...my woman works in China, Viet Nam, Laos, the Phillipenes....I hear about it all the time.

I have a friend who married an Asian, and he was controlling, money orientated big time, and the marriage did not last very long...He always compared her to Asian women, who did as they were told, when they were told...The men have the power the women are beneath them...

In saying that, I'm sure not all Asian men are like that...

That sucks. WHY!!!!

Maybe if you look for the part Asian guys, who weren't brought up in an Asian type culture, but elsewhere in the world with mixed race parentage...

I had a friend once who was married to an Asian man. He was very demeaning, controlling and treated her badly. He was very odd with money, too, and how she could spend it - like she couldn't use the dishwasher because it used too much electricity and she couldn't cook with the electric stove for the same reasons.

Be very careful, their culture is very different than ours. They expect complete submissiveness and obedience.

Their marriage lasted about 20 yrs and then he divorced her. Poor thing was a basket case.

Now, 3 yrs later, she is marrying someone who is controlling, demeaning and manipulative in a different way - my ex. Poor thing doesn't have a clue what she is in for.

I am currently dating an Asian man. And yes he is shy. But he is also the most kind and caring man. He is put up with a lot from me and still stays by my side.

I had a friend who knew a guy that had a cousin whose uncle's sister married a guy whose sister's husband's brother had a daughter that married an asian.....not sure if they are still married.
