Heck no... They were calling for warm weather so like the nit~wit that I am I took off for Claim #3 and ended up getting frozed in for a few extra days... Good thing I had gotten lots and lots of wood in during the fall.... And thank the "Bushwacker Gods" for canned food.... Gotta be tough to be an earth sprite up there I ain't tough....I'm just a little helpless Sprite...inserting winking eyelashs emoticon here....

Sorry to hear you were froze in Kim. Yep! nothing like Ditty Moore with salt and pepper! I did that when I was comercial fishing. The fish were sold and the first thing I bought was a can of Ditty! I still hate the smell of salmon!

Thanks for the concern Pat but you know that anytime that you go to the bush anything can happen so you go prepared....I just looked at it like another adventure in the North and pretended to be Grizzette Adams... The hardest part is bearing your "sharraka" to minus 38 degree weather and getting your business done.....The only time in my life that I ever wish I was a man....

Oh, and Bob, crabbing season was also the school time. My folks were happy to let me work in the Summer. But, I had to have atleast a B average to go fishing. Which meant Salmon and Halibut. I was to small for halibut untill my last year.
