I figured out Psych test Question 9: 9 Two major drives of the human being are sex and hunger. Compare and contrast their places in the human psyche.
Since I asked you all the question, it's fitting that I share with you my answer:

Whether sex or food, it is our brain (emotion) which tells us what is acceptable, what is gross, what is desirable. Those perceptions come to us from society, biology and psychological inputs.

A person has to have food; we will die without it. Although a necessity, food, like sex, can bring pleasure and satisfaction. There is no necessity to have sex.

Often, we will eat or have sex when that isn’t really what we want, in order to get something else, like companionship, intimacy, friendship. Think about eating alone or masturbating. It will satisfy a present urge, but neither is usually as good as when we are with someone we care about.

A person’s eating or sexual habits can kill them, either by starving themselves, overeating, or having unprotected sex. In each case, the person academically knows that they may be killing themselves, but does so anyway. In most cases, this risky, potentially deadly behavior is caused by our perception of society’s expectations of us.

I was just sitting here looking at my post count and remembering when I first got here in the spring of ot'7...I spent the first few months just "lurking" (gasp*) and trying to learn what all this on line stuff was about...Wondering how in the world someone could have thousands of posts to their name and be on here for over a year....(so naive I know)..I didn't know that you could form such strong bonds with people that you have never met face to face or that you could call them friends and really mean it...Wonders never cease....
