True Colors

the primary distinctions
are now misconstrued
blended, a slurry
with all of the hues

watered with lies
and seen in the open
our country no longer
our flag just a token

complacent is mixed
and softened to think
black and white
now are extinct

yes, we will see
truth has its day
promises lies
are meant as they say

empowered with choice
we rolled on the carpet
now they will walk
all over and vomit

the truth we will see
is the color of sin
hear as it echoes
we've allowed it all in
