Which one would you say is more beneficial to you?

I like the mind-meld that occurs after the first few months of dating online, but you had also better meet them in person too in a set amount of time or things will go awry.

Well I only date off line people. Kinda hard to have a date with your computer. People would tend to look at you funny. I will talk and meet people online, but the actual date part needs happen offline.

I like meeting people online because you can safely get a better feel for a person. I also agree that you are best to meet them sooner than later, this is the only way to truly see a person for their true colors.

On-line give you time to see how someone's mind and thought process work. Great prelude to a meeting. Off-line you tend to fly blind and most times don't have much in common.

I tend to like offline dating better. The unrealistic expectations and fantasy image we build in online (LDR) dating is a killer.

Meeting someone local online is almost as good as genuine happenstance offline meeting.

I agree, unless you are in a position to move.

I have learned a lot in the past 6 months of online dating and I think it can be done just as well as offline dating if you keep your expectations real. It will take longer to get to know someone online and you have to factor that in.

I think online dating is easier then offline. I am able to meet more people online.

And, that's the biggest advantage. The dating pool gets bigger.

So have I. A lot of very nice people. But, I just like to remind myself that we don't really know the people on here like we think we do.

I'm enjoying the online aspect of dating. Well, at least of talking to people. I rarely go on dates... guess they like me enough to talk, just not be seen in public. ohwell

It's nice to get a chance to know someone (or what they are willing to give of themselves) through online. To me it makes the potential first meeting all the more exciting. I'm more about someone's mind and personality than anything else. If I can't connect with them that way, all the physical attributes don't amount to much.

This is just another way of meeting people. For me, it's not one or the other.

Oh, yeah. Let's not even go there! The busy bodies at work have taken it upon themselves to become my own personal dating consultants! frustrated
