Some store brands are a lot better than others. So all generics are not created equal.

What really peeves me is the number of out of date products are on the store shelves. You either shop with a magnifier or pay good money for something and get it home and it is out of date! Not like it is worth the trip back on the same day to get a refund.

Couple things that will help things last longer. invert yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, and berries until you break the seal. Put brown paper grocery bags lining the bottom of the veggie drawer will cut down on mildew on veggies. Those little silica packets in the bread box will help (don't if you have small children they are poison). Want a great plant food use dried and powdered banana peels or used teabags.

Belong to an HMO and have a generic Doctor. Really scarey.
