A 27-year-old Cleveland man will be charged with making false alarms after he fell outside of a strip club earlier this month and made the incident out to be a hate crime, police say.

David Kocmit could face six months in jail and up to a $1,000 fine if convicted. He will formally be arraigned March 3.

Kocmit told Cleveland police he was assaulted Feb. 2 outside of Secrets Gentleman's Club on Brookpark Road shortly after 10:30 p.m.

According to the police report, Kocmit said that as he walked toward his car after meeting a friend at the club, someone in a group of three African-American men called him a racial slur.

He told police he was punched in the face and then all three beat him. He suffered a broken leg and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Cleveland police Lt. Thomas Stacho said the detectives investigated the incident as a felonious assault and hate crime until they watched surveillance tape a few days later.

Stacho said a detective determined that Kocmit was not assaulted, but slipped and fell in the parking lot. Police later contacted Kocmit, who continued to stick to his story.

"We don't need to fabricate racial strife -- there is enough of it in America and in Greater Cleveland," Stacho said. "We take allegations such as these very seriously."

A Myrtle Beach man told police he was bitten by a dancer at the Masters Club, according to a police report.

The 29-year-old man told police that between 12:40 and 1:40 a.m. Feb. 11 he was at the club getting a dance from a 19-year-old Conway woman when she bit his nipple, according to the report filed Friday morning.

The man told police he asked the woman to buy him a drink for biting him, but instead she attempted to slap him, according to the report. The man said he found management to report the incident, but was told to leave the club because he was trespassing.

Police noted the man, who had no signs of injury, had been drinking and appeared intoxicated, according to the report. The woman told police she was dancing for the man and she bit his shirt and pulled it away from his body with her teeth.

The woman said she finished the dance, the man tipped her $1 and then she walked away, according to the report. An hour later the woman said she put her hand on his shoulder to offer him a dance and he shouted not to be touched and swung his arm at her.

The woman said the man went to management then to report the incident, according to the report. The woman said security then escorted him out of the club.

Wait a minute...

HA HA HA

Since when is being bitten by a stripper good luck?

Is this a superstition grounded in tradition or just some goofy joke?

Anyone else heard this?
