Yeah, "looks don't really matter" and "it's what's on the inside that counts," and "I'm looking for someone decent and funny and caring," etc., blah blah blah, all the diversionary PC crapola that people spew simply to avoid coming across as shallow and superficial. You know what's worse than shallow and superficial? Deliberately misleading people (and yourself) about what it is you actually want. Nobody wins that one. But you can't tell 'em, though. Everybody has to pretend to be "nice", so nobody's little feelers get hurt. |
