You'll need to quote chapter and verse for me there Pol...
I may not be as brash or as tactless as some (or most) of the guys on these sites but no one who knows me would ever accuse me of being shy!

Its not hard to do. Especialy with the new computer units. I was trained on the NTDS system, and SPA 8 and 25. It was fun.

Does that translate into a civilian job at all Pol?
Or is that all old news for ya now?

I learned it in Electronics, from the technical side, rather than as operator.

I was a radar operater. Everything from airtraffic control to surface operations(seeing what is around the ship) and navigation in foul weather. And, yes, its old news. I can't work the displays to remain qualified. You need two good hands to operate most modern systems.ohwell

Yes, it does suck AD. There are four companies I know of that run tugs on the Columbia that need people like me. It is really frustrating.

And, Skyy, yes my left hand was crushed. Bad enough the Dr in the Navy who treated me was disonorably discharged for malpractice. Rare back in the early 80's.

I am not. I did my best for my country. I don't have any pretty badges. But, I know I did my best. I even made " Mess Man of the Month". in my thirty days on the mess deck.First one not from the Supply Division. Ya gotta Charlie Mike, or you lose everything.
