I'm sure we all know someone with an addiction,or might have one of our own.My son who is now 22 had an addiction to ahlcol.Smashed a car and went in to treatment.He was clean for almost two yrs.He then got injured at work and had to have surgery on his hand.And now 8 months later he's addicted to pain pills.And I'm so dumb he was sick one night and I said go to urgent care.He admitted it was with drawls.My heart breaks for him.And for all with addiction,it's terrible.So I pray every day,he does not end up dead or in jail.To anyone else going through this ,prayers be with you too.

I struggled with drug addiction. I have 14 years off drugs. Why do so many relapse when I didn't? Its psychological and chemical. Your brain makes your body crave euphoria. And your psyche tries to justify your behavior. I taught my brain and body to say "Enough is enough"! No more abuse. Setting goals and parameters helps too. Best of luck.

Thanks. I had a brother who passed away in 1997 to drugs. It was awful for me when he died, but his life was so out of control. He was just not himself anymore. Drugs were something we did not talk about because he knew how I felt about them.
Still miss him to this day
