It all depends on the arraingements of the meeting, where you meet, the time spent together, the flow of drinks, and other things that "may" change the equation. The written word and phone jabber are...."much different" than the eyes to eyes....I believe that most men can and do become good friends. For the most part the act of non-alterier motives can go out the window when "some"...I said "some" men that think the messages get skewed by the above. A woman is the master of themselves, they choose the way they meet, and the things they do. Ladies, just walk softly and carry a big stink......I mean stick. Be careful out there, it's a different world out there than it was years ago...JMO

It's possible, but not entirely likely. After all, we're talking about people of the opposite sex here- there'll ALWAYS some sort of ulterior motive going on, no matter how innocent those ulterior motives may be.

I mean... just look at the forum in this site- a lot of the topics have ladies who flirt like crazy (often gettin' nastay in places) with others quite shamelessly. I'd have a hard time believing they wouldn't have any ulterior motives goin' on. I wouldn't think they were looking for just friends.

Sure it is possible actually my best friend of over 20 years is male. And that is all it has ever been between us. Actually there is not much we don't talk about with each other it has always been that easy to talk to him as well as him with me.

He is more like part of the family my family knows him as well as his family me. It is more like a brother sister type situation.
