Topic: Have you met anyone famous in your life? | |

I have met quite a few celebs in my travels but the two that really touched me were Tina Turner when I was living in Zurich and Andrea Boucelli in Italy... Hmmmmm....that man can sing.... wow two of my favorite musicians of all time. I have Mr. Boucelli's dvd's to listen to and cds of Tina Turner also. I would have loved to have met Tina and just have one session of meditation with her alone. Nam-myo-ho-reng-ge-kyo |

I met James Brown. I also know Kenny Wayne Shepard since he was born. Kenny married Mel Gibsons daughter so I'm expecting to meet him one day. I do like Mel Gibson. Jim Burton and a few other musicians. I'm not really impressed by fame so never gave it much thought. I did knock heads (literally) with George Cloony at Kennedys in Manhattan. He was sitting behind me and we both went back at the same time and bumped heads. Nice enough guy I suppose..he laughed it off. A few more I'm sure. Never look twice at "stars" though. They seem shallow.

I met Royston Langdon the lead singer of Spacehog just before they became internationally known. Got to interview him twice actually & a few days after the second time the band was on Letterman. He's rather nice.

I have seen a few while I was in NYC.
Saw Abe Vigoda walking down the street...man, those eyebrows could walk by themselves I think. I saw Mikhail Baryshnikov at the Met, I was on a backstage tour and was standing in front of an elevator, I had my head on a friend's shoulder because we were at a party the night before. I open my eyes when the doors opened and there he was, he waved and smiled and the doors closed....only then did I realize who it was!! I actually met Tim Rice, lyricist and composer of shows like Jesus Christ Superstar and The Lion King when I was in high school. We were performing one of his lesser known shows, first time it was being performed in the USA. I got hurt during dress rehearsal and came back from the hospital with my hand all bandaged up and he came over and asked how it happened and would I be all right.... |

I was in a swanky nightclub in Dallas back in the 80's and I waited in line for drinks with Robert Plant. He was absolutely the nicest guy and waited in line just like everybody else. He seemed to be totally unaffected.

Yeah, I've met several of those folks when I was living in the Hollywood area, but all were vehicle repair business related. Mostly cars and or motorcycles that needed to be put back into service after long storage periods. Nothing exciting or interesting really. Dennis

Patricia Richardson, lives about 20 min. away where I live. Dustin Hoffman (I almost ran over him with my car) and Conan O'Brien, another one about 20 min. away from where I live. Michael J. Fox lives not far away but I haven't met him.

I have met several. I just don't drop
