You see someone you want to talk to and I'm outside of her age window to even send her a message. I should have lied and said I was 30. How did I get this old?

I understand that Ms. Kitten. But if I put up an entire thread to do that then she'll think I'm a desperate idiot and I don't want her to know I'm a desperate idiot. That sort or thing makes you look bad and I look bad enough as it is. But I jest. Seriously though, I just really like what she said in her profile and would like to give her a great big hug for writing it.

There is no age requirement on friendship and you just never know when one will turn out to be special regardless of the age. Send a friendly note ...why not?

I say just do what feels right. In the beginning you tried to contact her and that was your initial gut feeling. So do what you originally wanted to. Chivalry is not dead my friend. Some see it as desperate and others as romantic. good luck
