Topic: Let the day begin... | |
---|---|
Just wanted to say hi to everyone - I've been looking for a place to meet some interesting people, and it looks like I found it! I've already enjoyed so many topics - with my coffee!
Here's a question - how many folks out there enjoy their chosen vocation? Or perhaps another way of putting it - how many do not dread going to work? |

I love my job...it's like a TV show episode most days.
I just learned my boss is leaving and I'm conflicted with feeling sad and pissed about that, but overall I enjoy my job. I just hope that does not change with a new Director. |

I happen to love my job too - I work for myself - so if I ever leave I don't know what I'll do!!! LOL
I have so many friends that hate going to work - it makes me sad...I've always believed that if you're not happy - change things - including your job....but it isn't that easy when you have credit card debt and such - people get stuck in situations that bring them down and downright age them! Life is too short to be miserable.... |

I don't dread going to work. I like my job most days. Except for the days where the sales guys are especially crazy.

love my job... being retired yeah! Love my life and how I live it and who Iam...and no one, or nothing can bring me down.

I like both of my jobs on most days...but both have drawbacks as does all jobs.

My chosen line of work wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't so much ineptitude and corruption present in it.
We have to deal with outright amateurs from those incredibly lame film schools (like "Collins College") who end up showing up in my industry only to muck it up beyond all recognition... we have producers and other executives who seem more intent of stealing whatever money they can get in the name of "Hollywood"... and we have lazy, lethargic union leaders who couldn't get out of their own way to save their life. So I'm not all too happy with my chosen field of work. Of course, I'm in the process of trying to do something else, but with the job market being as soft as it is at present, it's just more logical to stay in something I'm making at least some money at for the time being. |

I'm very sorry to hear that you're not happy - but I hope you will one day find another vocation that allows you to prosper personally, spiritually...it's the only way to find our true self!

i hate my occupation, not so much the job, but the people and the environment. Have you considered changing career paths? i have 2 assoc. degrees and can't find a job in my field. i work in a factory and make enough money that i can't leave and find a job that pays similarly. of course in a couple of months i may get laid off and then i'll have to change careers. |
