So, with all this talk about presents for Valentine's day, it made me wonder whether people actually liked getting flowers. Not necessarily for Valentine's day, but in general. Ladies, do you like to receive flowers? Men, do you like to give them? What about the other way around with ladies giving flowers?

I prefer to give whole plants that have flowers. I also appreciate getting new plants as well. I bet you think that is strange....

I love to suprise with flowers my favorite is the tiger rose. I'd rather give them than receive them.

It's nice every once in a while for absolutely no reason but on holidays I find it too cliche and would rather not get them

That is NOT strange. Plants you can keep and nurture and such while flowers, well they just die. I prefer to give whole plants that have flowers. I also appreciate getting new plants as well. I bet you think that is strange....

I have to buy my own flowers. A Friend of mine on here did send me a basket of flowers last easter.

It's nice every once in a while for absolutely no reason but on holidays I find it too cliche and would rather not get them See, no one I've dated has ever given flowers, so I'd love it.

I like to either have stuff like a tree planted in his honor, a star named after him......things that will last the test of time.....I did for a long time add bonsai trees to his collection....And tried to get really different ones.

My favorite is the Yellow Rose and I have gotten them before but, I would rather have a plant. The flowers die and I can keep the plant alive.

I like it, but ultimately its up to the giver... cuz If i want them I'll buy them for myself....

I love rceiving flowers...have had many a beau in the past send them to me...when they start looking a little tired, I like to hang them & dry them out, then give them a clear coat of acrylic.

I like giving and yes recieving flowers or plants.. But I like to give them for no reason and at any time..and tend not to on these commercial holidays we are expected to....
