Friendship is often a commitment to long term trust and companionship that endures the failures which so easily destroy other relationships. Yet it falls far short of the mark to ever near fulfillment of that closer union inside of which even the best of friends dare not tread.

At this point in my life, friends are as far as I can go. Issues from the past need dealt with first. I think friends are all around if you just reach out to them. Be open with where you are REALLY at, don't have to tell ALL your story, but people need to understand. Clear as mud?????????????

Always good advice. At times I think this is dieing out but then I look at my daughters guy he does all those things so it is still out there. Just hope it not over because we at our age have been burned so much in life.

Just hope it not over because we at our age have been burned so much in life. I agree. I look at my daughters man, and am amazed. For such a young fella he is so smart in the ways of making a lady feel special. She had gone through a few frogs..and totally appreciates him everyday.
