No, I don't think so.
I think the problem is, if we're talking about ethics in the human sense, then you go into it with the preconceived notion that human life has some intrinsic, inherent value -- which is a bias built upon our own vested interests. A computer has no compelling reason to start from that same value system (perhaps one could adjust the program to incorporate the bias, but that would be "cheating," in my opinion). |

well that depends on how you mean to computerize them
my final project in Rit was a self aware emotions program and by the program making choices different results would occur so i believe you could program ethics into a computers. |
