Please dont get me started...
Illegal is illegal.

You cant win and posters end up getting suspended trying...

laughthis is the OP opening remark

do you really believe the government will every build a wall to stop illegal aliens. or do they even care.

he later went on to 'assume' those shopping at his walmart were illegal - no proof just an assumption.

Illegal is illegal - I agree

What I dont agree is the basic assumptions and stereotyping of spanish speaking people to automatically be illegals. (which is how I read his comment)

See no need for anyone to be suspended - I have my opinions, he (op) has his opinions and you have your opinions.

Yes, but some opinions are based upon a bleeding heart and weakly supported.

While others are very strong, well researched, well supported, and leave no blood to transfuse into the bleeding hearts.

This eventually leads to a bleeding out of sorts, where by these posters get irrational and begin throwing out uncalled for assumptions of racism and bigotry.

I thought they banned these topics anyway??

Opinions are like noses we all have them, regardless of where they come from, be it a bleeding heart, someone who finds it weakly supported or person prefers it to be fact based.

Differences is what allows us to learn and view other perspectives, but that's only my opinion. Like life guess it's up to the individual how to accept and process any information.

Didn't know these topics were taboo or banned? I kinda like these topics, find it nice to share input and receive input from a wide range people.

The fence is just about complete. I think they only have about 20 miles to finish it

the border fence is a good idea

Problem is we let the govt do it and the govt ALWAYS screws it up

in some places the fence is fifty miles from the border. It cuts ranches in half and ranchers cant get to their cattle

They closed and dismantled all the old footbridges without notice and many families were cutoff

a fence on the border is a good idea but not the way they have built it

That doesn't sound good. Why did they cut American ranches in half?

it was easier and cheaper to follow a straight line instead of following property lines

they just drew a straight line to fence off a meandering river

It's not good to mess with people's property lines. Does mean that part of their property is for Mexican use then (even though U.S. soil)?

SIERRA BLANCA, Texas -- In a swampy corner of his desolate ranch, Bill Addington proudly flouts the law.

The Department of Homeland Security has demanded that he tear down a rickety footbridge from his land across the Rio Grande into Mexico. Since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, authorities have shut down nearly a dozen of these informal river crossings along the Texas border. This is the last they know to be operating. They want it gone. Mr. Addington refuses.

Texas rancher Bill Addington refuses to dismantle an informal and illegal crossing that leads into Mexico. While Mr. Addington calls it a symbol of a bygone era, the Department of Homeland Security wants southern borders secured. (Oct. 6)

He crossed that bridge countless times as a boy, darting into Mexico to buy candy or watermelon juice or to flirt with the girls at church-hall dances. Mexicans crossed over, too, every day, to work the cotton fields for Mr. Addington's father -- a U.S. Border Patrol agent. After a hard season's labor, they would all celebrate together with a night of bilingual poker, fueled by whiskey and calf-brain stew.

Sounds like Mr. Addington is part of a larger problem.

more a tradition than a problem. Those footbridges have been there a hundred years and when the closest town is two or three hours away its much more effective to cross over to buy groceries and stuff

many families are cutoff and isolated when they remove those bridges

He's allowing Mexican citizens to work in America without a permit.
That's illegal no matter how you look at it.
If we allow him to do so then we are blurring the rules and asking for arguments excusing millions from obeying the same law.

it still amazes how some people in our government will do anything to get more votes.they let illegals come in to usa. all in the name of a vote.but whats really funny is. when i came to usa at 4 years old. i never heard press 1 for russian two for english. but now adays if you dont speak spanish. your not giving the illegals a chance. so if you cant speak english. go your butt back to where you came from.

How long has there been censorship on a topic so, important as the Illegal Invasion from the Southern borders?
And why would the topic be censored?
