language skills

really now people acquire them, utilize them, they will get you farther much farther than you think...it does not have to be perfect, but at least legible, please try to make it coherent, please

okay, forgive me, its a reoccurring problem... I know, but why?

I was in Barnes and Noble just the other day. Ive been contemplating learning a new lang. While waiting in line to pay for my latest Paparback I noticed the Rossetta Stone Language Display behind the counter. Just out of curosity I asked for pricing. I was really interested to know.
The Lady Picks up a learn German box and says to me "418". My mind was racing I was thinking wow 4.18,, then I thot impossible, only thing it could be is $418.00". She must have read my mind because she then picked up a few more that were only like half that price. I said, "thank you very much" im only shopping them right now.
I looked at the two people immeadiately behind me and they were shaking their heads as well. I think I will look for a less expensive alternative.
Oh, I only speak English at the moment. But can get by with a little Spanish in a pinch. It doesnt seem to come out unless i really need it.

English primarily
French at the level of about a 4th grade native
Spanish minimally as necessary
German also minimally

I'm working on improving it all though...languages are too much fun.

I can speak these languages fluently: English, Spanish, French, Portugese, Italian, Greek, and can also sign language.

Yo puedo leer, escibir, y hablar en Espanol.

I can speak German, read poorly, but can't write it at all, due to learning it in bars, not school.

I use Spanish everyday at work.

I can swear in Polish, Greek, and Korean, too. laugh
