dont get me wrong .. i agree its nice to have a partner during these times... but thats when you already had them before all this started... i think people run from getting into relationships not cause they consider it baggage or drama, but for the fact that they know that you need to feel better about yourself and only you can accomplish this.. and "you" means anyone in this situation.

When I divorced my husband, I knew there would be an empty hole in my life that would need to be dealt with and I did not want to fill it with another problem (relationship) that I was not ready for. So I got a kitten for love, a dog for loyalty, and focused on getting on my feet emotionally and financially.

I still don't need a man.

losing your job is somewhat the same type of feeling as a divorce in the sense that you have loss, loneliness, sadness, insecurity, angry sometimes,lost, the feeling of not being needed or important etc..... that is why i was comparing the two...

I like to encourage people to invest in themselves and work for themselves instead of being dependent on working for an employer. When your are self employed or contracting, it can be a feast or famine situation, but you are in control and you are not going to get laid off or fired.

Even working for a temp agency has its advantages. I was working for a temp agency and was hired out to a factory and I had been there three months. The people I worked with were working directly for the company and they were worried about losing their jobs. One lady asked me "Aren't you even worried about being laid off?" I said no. She was surprised. "Why not?" she asked.

I said because I don't work for this company. I work for a temp agency. I know this job is temporary. When it is gone, they will find me another one.

even the temp agencies arent hiring here.. my brother said they told him to come back in 2 months and maybe then they will accept his application... that they are filled up and there isnt much work now...
