Topic: The Loneliness Scale Quiz from UCLA (share your scores) | |
---|---|
On my way back from San Antonio today I was listening to a talk show about loneliness and how it plays a role physically and emotionally in our lives.
Part of this program was a quiz. I took the original quiz and turned it into what you have below so it will auto-score you after you select your answers. http://work-arcade.com/loneliness_scale.html My score was a friggin whopping 36. Looks like I need help haha. Take the quiz and share your scores.. More to come on the science of loneliness as I do more research into the subject. |

"Your score is 36 . The average score for college students is 20. The average score for nurses is 20. The average score for school teachers is 19. The average score for elderly people is 16. Scores between 15 and 20 are considered a normal experience of loneliness. Scores above 30 indicate you are experiencing severe loneliness." |

im wondering how accurate that really is... it says mine was 20... (hummm ) The test was developed by a UCLA professor. It's simply meant as a guide to show you where you sit right now. From what I've read/listened to today unless you are disabled in a way that you cannot go out and physically interact with other people then the loneliness will only get worse even by talking to people over the internet. The studies show that disabled people reduce their loneliness being able to interact with people online because they cannot get out into the world. The same is not true for people who can. |

i took it again and got 12 wtf That just means you changed your answers. I wrote the app myself that scores and the only way the number changes is if you change your answers. |

Lonely?!?!?!?!?!?!
Sorry man...but from the despondant answers I am seeing..no way am I gonna take that quiz. Have I spent years alone?....yep Was I ever lonely?...not a minute. Between my good friends...my loving family..and just going out and picking up drunk chicks at the clubs....I am only lonely when I choose to be. Hell, even when it is just me, the voices in my head keep me company. |

Between my good friends...my loving family..and just going out and picking up drunk chicks at the clubs....I am only lonely when I choose to be. Hell, even when it is just me, the voices in my head keep me company. Study said almost all men will refuse to say they are ever lonely. If you aren't lonely then take the quiz and it will say the same thing you are.. |
