Don't make the jokes if you can't take what people have to say about it afterward. It's very simple.

Yeppers if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen.

I am a fan of bad jokes.

I am also a firm believer that what someone finds funny can be revealing.

It can also lead to greater understanding as well.

Much humor, especially observational humor, makes fun of people and their behaviors.

So, given all that I have to ask. If the president was a white southerner would you have posted his picture on a food stamp card?

Here is why I say that.

According to statistics from the Census Bureau and Department of Health and Human Services, nearly 9 million children on welfare in 1995 were White, the statistics show, compared to 4.8 million Black children. Here's some more info for you. The typical child on Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) is White and lives in the rural South, Appalachia or the downtrodden areas of major cities.

So, instead of a black guy from Hawaii on the food stamp card a more likely portrait on the card might be...perhaps Howard Baker of Tennessee?

so if those stats are correct, let me fill in the other half of the equation for you.

blacks repre, excuse me, african-americans represent ~12% or 1/8 the population in America.

so if you live in the United States, you've got a 1 in 8 chance of being Black.

but if you're a child on welfare , you've got a better than 1 in 3 chance of being bla.. African-American

Yes, I can understand why small minded hatred, finger pointing and baiting others might work for you.

Keep it up!

It reminds me why education is so important.

More posts please.

Keep in mind...I never said you were a racist you made that assumption all on your own.

Guilty much? I doubt it.

I would like to know why you felt the need to post a foodstamp card with Obama's face on it? It didn't say anything about being a joke, if it did I fail to see the humor in it. So explain why you posted it, you must have had something in mind.

After all other presidents would have worked just as well. So why Obama?

So, you didn't post the other thread, did you?

Why do you then feel such a need to defend it?

Because you thought it funny and others didn't?

Says a lot about you, and also about the one who posted it, and it isn't good.

Unless people agree with you, you don't seem to want to hear what they have to say. It doesn't work that way.
